Sleek shelf allows retailers to attractively display transparent products and outshine their competition

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – May 9, 2006 – Retailers, designers and architects in the retail, hospitality and entertainment industries now have a new shelving display option, the Stylmark LED Acrylic Shelf.  This new shelf illuminates glass bottles, crystal or other transparent products and creates an attractive and unique way to display merchandise.  The Stylmark LED Acrylic Shelf allows retailers to transform displays into visually alluring experiences that draw and keep the customer’s focus on the merchandise.

Made of clear, polished acrylic and utilizing light emitting diodes (LED), the Stylmark LED Acrylic Shelf is designed to mount into custom-fit displays and creates an illusion of a “floating shelf.”  Stylmark will offer two sizes of the LED Acrylic Shelf—the single emitter shelf and the double emitter shelf.  The LED lighting system is embedded inside the polished acrylic and projects light upward and through the displayed product illuminating it and creating an aesthetically appealing display.

“The idea to create the Stylmark LED Acrylic Shelf came to us based on suggestions from some of our retail customers,” said Carol Perry, Stylmark’s marketing manager. “They needed a stylish, but maintenance-free option for displaying glass bottles and other small, clear items.  This shelf meets their needs and allows more creativity in wall display design.”

The new Stylmark LED Acrylic Shelf, scheduled for release in June 2006, was recently featured at GlobalShop in Orlando, Fla. and will be available for viewing at the Retail Interiors Expo on May 17-18, 2006 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (Booth # 2326) at the O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Ill.
